Begin To Sew

Includes fabric and instructions for a pin cushion, pillow case, and tote bag which are made in the classes. Bring your own machine or “Try” one of our machines to help you decide which one you would like to purchase. This class does not represent a Machine Mastery class. This is a basic construction class. All items constructed are beginner level.

Easy Sweatshirt Jacket

Take an old or new sweatshirt and turn it into a jacket using your favorite theme of fall, winter, Valentines, or your hundreds of other choices. Learn to add binding instead of restrictive cuffs. Learn to make a placket front for buttons or a zipper.

Bring machine, accessories to sew with machine including power cord, feet and foot control.  Bring sweatshirt, 1/4 yard fabric, waistband interfacing package, thread for the fabric,

Pants That Fit

“Sew” you want to make pants. For the person who has returned to sewing or feels ready to expand their sewing skills by making pants and trousers. This first class is a fitting class and uses a Kwik Sew 3041 pull on pant pattern to get the correct fit. Other styles of pants will be discussed

Bring machine, accessories to sew with machine including power cord, feet and foot control. Pattern and pattern tracing interfacing preferably with dots or squares at least 45" wide, scrap fabric for the first pair based upon yardage on the pattern

Sewing Garments- Shirts

Wednesdays                               March 24 & 31               10:00-12:00     $40.00                Kris
Make a shirt with collar, sleeves, button front and turned hem. Use one print or color or make it creative. You will learn to use Kwik Sew 3041 pattern for construction. It is the same pattern used for the pant class.

Bring machine, accessories to sew with machine including power cord, feet and foot control. Pattern and fabric for the pattern  Kwik Sew 3041.  Bring thread, buttons, interfacing that has been pre-shrunk.  This will be discussed in the first class.

Fabric-Thank you for purchasing your fabric at Creative Sewing Center. It should be pre-washed if it is going to be washed in the future. We suggest that you check to make sure the minimum number of students has enrolled before selecting your fabric. If there is a kit, it will not have been washed.
All classes with a scissor symbol need the basic supplies above. Most classes need other supplies. Supplies should be purchased before class.

Class Registration Policy
Payment is due at registration. After registering, make sure you go online to get a supply sheet. Supplies & fabric are extra unless stated. Babies, family members or friends are not permitted in class.
Refund policy
In the event that a class must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, individuals who registered for that class will be notified and a full refund will be mailed. Should a student cancel a class, refunds are available if requested ONE WEEK BEFORE THE FIRST CLASS. There will be a $5.00 administrative fee applied to each class fee. No refunds can be given once a class or club has begun, no refunds will be given on kit fees
THERE IS NO REFUND ON CLASSES WITH NATIONAL TEACHERS. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN GIVE YOUR SPACE TO SOMEONE ELSE. PLEASE CALL US IF THIS HAPPENS SO THAT WE CAN MAKE AN ADJUSTMENT TO THE ROLL FOR CLASS.
