Mara’s New $5.00 Quilt
NORTHERN LIGHTS
Designed as an intermediate quilt for those who wish to come to a demonstration once a month for 11 months while making this gorgeous 80” x 105” quilt (can be made bigger).
This quilt will be taught using Marti Michell templates Set B & D. The instructor will also show alternate methods with rotary cutting techniques.

Each month a block and technique will be introduced. Sew the block, bring it back the next month completed, stay for the demonstration and you receive the kit with fabric & pattern for that block FREE. You will receive instructions on all aspects of piecing, quilting and binding. You can make any size quilt with the blocks you learn to make. The image above shows the quilt that you will be making. As an intermediate quilter, you are ready to make the blocks more consistent and less scrappy. You will need to purchase a background fabric that will be used in the triangle corners of each block and in the setting blocks which will be shown during the fourth month.

Choose one of the 2 color ways. You can make both quilts but you can only sign up for one color way. Should you wish to have blocks from both color ways made for you, please purchase $5.00 x 10 blocks before the start of the quilt. This will ensure that you have the entire set of blocks for your extra quilt.
You will also be able to choose border fabrics to complete your quilt.

Mara’s Applique Wall Hanging of the Month
This is a fun class, even if you don’t make it every time you will be rewarded!
Saturdays Feb 18, Mar 17, April 21, May 19, June 16, 1:00-3:00

After all these years, Mara wants to teach something new! She has selected these wonderful monthly wall hangings & table runners designed by a friend of hers from “back home” that can be used and enjoyed for years. This will also give you a chance to finish something each month.
How does this appliqué class work?

Class Fee is $30.00 (5 months) covers the cost of patterns.

ENROLL

The class starts in February after Valentines and we are providing two patterns. Both pictured at the left.
That is really 6 blocks for this 5 month session. When you come to the February class, you will receive fabric for the small appliqués in the patterns. Using a background fabric of your choice, make the block or wall hanging. Bring either one of them back in March & your March package of tiny appliqué fabrics & pattern will be waiting for you.
What if you don’t make either block?
Your March package will still be waiting for you!!
