In the May Specialty Embroidery club I will begin teaching the techniques from the book Place in the Sun and highlight the details of making the blocks. This will be along with a technique of making grids for embroidery and Mylar underlays. Each month we have a different technique and the different Place in the Sun block.

Specialty Embroidery Club
This club is open to all embroidery machine owners. This embroidery demonstration will highlight a different embroidery project each month.  I am into finding new & easier ways to do all the embroidered quilts, lace, and fancy embroidery projects. 

The Monthly subjects for Saturday & Thursday are the same.  You can come to either demo according to your schedule.

I love the pink and mint green fabric designed by Jenny Haskins for her book When Dreams Flower, but I was not interested in making a faux knitting quilt. I also love some appliqué Heart designs from another designer and envisioned them embroidered on the bias printed trellis fabric from the fabric collection. The hearts are beautiful. Top all this love off with a scalloped continuous flower border and I thought I might have some fun. Would you like to have concentrated time for a special project- Join me for this 3 day Embroidery Camp. Day #1 you will make two appliqué heart blocks using designs provided for the class. Day #2 make two soft fabric pizza blocks with repositioned embroidery designs. Day #3 make a continuous border for at least 1 side of your project. The goal is to make a 4 patch wall hanging. The Applique Hearts require a 6” x 10” embroidery field.
Fabric, book, yarns, thread, and designs are provided for the class.
