This is Spring Break and what better time for a teacher or student to learn her own Bernina machine. This class is specifically designed to investigate the features of the Bernina 180, 185, 640, 730, 820 and 830. These are 9 mm machines with wide decorative stitches. Heirloom sewing techniques will be highlighted in this class. The 6 projects can be used to make a shirt, tote, vest, or wall hanging.

Join Rosemary for her Cutwork Software and Cutwork Embroidery classes in March

Bernina Cutwork Weekend :
March 26 & 27                                  10:00-4:00 each day

$75.00 for both days includes lunch both days
The Cutwork Tool works on Bernina embroidery machines. (except Bernina 165E).  Rosemary is a Bernina software artist whose accomplishments include magnificent large embroidery designs, huge cross stitch designs which include multiple hooping, commercial designs for her business and quilting creations. Now she is adding Bernina Cutwork to her list. She is will teach basics, intermediate, and depending on the time many advanced features in a one day “hands on” software class. She has a private agenda also, she owns hundreds if not thousands of Cutwork embroidery designs. She, like you, is cutting applique & piecing shapes and will show the use of the cutwork tool for this art form.. We will have samples for almost every use that we can think of….. Bring ideas! Digitize with the software on Friday. Embroider your Cutwork designs that were created on Saturday.

BERNINA Software Classes :
Total class fee is $30.00. for 7 classes. These are hands on classes with the software installed on your computer. Open to all levels and versions of Bernina software– you will learn something different in every class even if you do not own V.6 Designer Plus.
Monograms                     Mon.                   April 19                 10:00-12:00
Learn to create Monograms with all levels of the Bernina software. After learning this way you will be able to use all the features of your particular level as we investigate size, array, borders, fills, and embellishments.
Cross Stitch                    Mon.                   April 26                 10:00-12:00
This features begins at Editor Plus. Have you loved the cross stitch that you see in many embroidery designs but want to create your own. Using the basic tools in your software we will “create” cross stitch from any design.
Automatic Digitizing         Mon.                 May 3                10:00-12:00
This feature begins at Editor Plus. If you have wanted to auto- digitize but it seems “sew boring” this class is for you. Learn about the artistic features needed to have great auto digitizing.
Lines, Outlines, & Quilting Effects                Mon.              May 10                  10:00-12:00
You will need Designer Plus to use your software in this class. If you have signed up for the first 3 classes this is the determining factor or why you would want Designer Plus software.
Carving and Morphing and Freehand Tools                  Mon.             May 17                    10:00-12:00
Using these new tools in V6 software expand the capabilities of your Design Plus software. Not only do we have 180 fancy fills and 30 different step fills but you can modify all of those. Yes, we can do this in all levels of Designer Plus software but why with the new features in V6. New ways to shade, sculpture and layer are available– lets create.

Class Registration Policy
Payment is due at registration. After registering, make sure you receive a class confirmation form and supply sheet. Supplies & fabric are extra unless stated. Babies, family members or friends are not permitted in class.
Refund policy
In the event that a class must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, individuals who registered for that class will be notified and a full refund will be mailed. Should a student cancel a class, refunds are available if requested ONE WEEK BEFORE THE FIRST CLASS. There will be a $5.00 administrative fee applied to each class fee. No refunds can be given once a class or club has begun, no refunds will be given on kit fees
THERE IS NO REFUND ON CLASSES WITH NATIONAL TEACHERS. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN GIVE YOUR SPACE TO SOMEONE ELSE. PLEASE CALL US IF THIS HAPPENS SO THAT WE CAN MAKE AN ADJUSTMENT TO THE ROLL FOR CLASS.
