This is a demonstration using different techniques for each block during the 6 months. Pay $5.00 to join. Attend the demo or pick up the first block and bring it back to the second class completed. You will then receive the 2nd block FREE and so on. Details in the store and on-line.
You can make 6 blocks (one a month) or 24 blocks for the a quilt. There will be the opportunity to purchase a fabric kit for the first 3 months only. These will provide enough fabric for the extra blocks to make a quilt. There will also be border kits available in the last few months. This class is always fun. Come see the fabric samples.
Pre– registration is Required prior to class day as kits must be cut.
BEGINNERS $5.00 Quilt
Here is how it works : Starts Saturday, January 9, 2010
This $5.00 quilt is especially for Beginners. It is 6 months long,
Register for the 2nd Saturday of January to come at 1:00 by paying $5.00
Choose the quilt color when you register.
Before the Saturday class that you are Scheduled to attend you need to pay for a block $5.00 + tax (if you haven’t already done this). The block contains the fabric and instructions for the block in one of the two color ways. The block will be handed out at the first session January 9th. If you can not attend pick the block up later.
On the 2nd Saturday of each month (6 months), we will give a short demonstration of a technique or tool that can be used to make that block.
Bring your finished block to the next month’s $5.00 Quilt demo and you’ll get your block FREE! For example: January is your first month. Pick up the block at the demo or during the month of January if you miss the demo. Bring back the completed January block on the 2nd Saturday in February and get the February block FREE!
Each month we will introduce how to cut & sew the block. We will introduce tools that will help you do the block, other quilting & appliqué techniques. This demo will last approximately 2 hours. You will be expected to stay the entire time to receive your block Free. The blocks will be available at a special table after the demo.
You can make the 6 blocks into a wall hanging or make a larger quilt with instructions given during the demo.
There are a few conditions:
If you want to make pieced blocks in the two different color ways, go ahead. You only get one “FREE” kit a month. You must pay for any additional kits or color ways. You must pre-pay & special order these kits ahead to make sure they are available.
To get your FREE block, you must personally come to the demo and sit through the whole demonstration.
There are no exceptions!! .
Your hand will be stamped with an ink stamp as you come into the classroom with your finished block each demo. The stamping will stop at exactly 1:00. Please be in your seat at 1:00 with your hand stamped to receive a FREE block.
If you are late, have to leave early, or cannot come at the time scheduled, you must purchase the $5.00 block. You can buy that month’s block for $5.00 while supplies last. Bring it to the next month’s class and that next month ’s block will be free.
You must be present to pick up your own FREE block and to win a door prize. Any extra blocks are available for purchase after 4:30.
The minimum age for participating is 14. Children and visitors who have not paid to begin are not allowed at the sessions. If you don’t have a babysitter, then you’ll need to purchase that month’s block at a later time.

Class Registration Policy
Payment is due at registration. After registering, make sure you receive a class confirmation form and print off your supply sheet. Supplies & fabric are extra unless stated. Babies, family members or friends are not permitted in class.
Refund policy
In the event that a class must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, individuals who registered for that class will be notified and a full refund will be mailed. Should a student cancel a class, refunds are available if requested ONE WEEK BEFORE THE FIRST CLASS. There will be a $5.00 administrative fee applied to each class fee. No refunds can be given once a class or club has begun, no refunds will be given on kit fees
THERE IS NO REFUND ON CLASSES WITH NATIONAL TEACHERS. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN GIVE YOUR SPACE TO SOMEONE ELSE. PLEASE CALL US IF THIS HAPPENS SO THAT WE CAN MAKE AN ADJUSTMENT TO THE ROLL FOR CLASS.
