Using the principles of reversible quilting where the quilt is built from the center out you will learn to use squares for the back & front. This rag quilt can be done in cotton or flannel. We have many displays.
The pattern for this quilt is available

Supplies needed                  Machine with walking foot, 1/2 Yard of 6 different prints
Two strips of the striped fabric or big print
Two strips of the block fabric or panels,  Rag Cutting scissors are necessary

Hobbs Poly Down
polyester batting that does not pill or separate

Start with a center square, panel, block or “log” and learn the process of adding the top and the bottom and the batting to make the reversible quilt. Work at home to make the quilt as large as you wish. The second class is about binding.

Polyester Thread to match fabric,
Machine and all its accessories including the foot control & cord, Walking Foot,
Hobbs Heirloom Cotton or Hobbs Poly Down twin size batting that is cut into 6" x 90" strips. Cut the whole thing up before class this will not be your last quilt.  It is like potato chips-
Rotary cutter and cutting mat
Choose 6 different pieces of fabric that contrast or coordinate.  Give yourself some prints, stripes, plaids or fun fabric to play with.
If buying yardage YOU WILL NEED ABOUT 1 YD EACH
Cut into 6" x 45" wide strips. These strips will be across the 45 width.  Bring all the scraps- you probably don't have any.  If you have anything left over that becomes the binding.  This quilt will be a lap size 45" x 60" when completed.

Class Registration Policy
Payment is due at registration. After registering, make sure you receive a class confirmation form and supply sheet. Supplies & fabric are extra unless stated. Babies, family members or friends are not permitted in class.
Refund policy
In the event that a class must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, individuals who registered for that class will be notified and a full refund will be mailed. Should a student cancel a class, refunds are available if requested ONE WEEK BEFORE THE FIRST CLASS. There will be a $5.00 administrative fee applied to each class fee. No refunds can be given once a class or club has begun, no refunds will be given on kit fees
THERE IS NO REFUND ON CLASSES WITH NATIONAL TEACHERS. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN GIVE YOUR SPACE TO SOMEONE ELSE. PLEASE CALL US IF THIS HAPPENS SO THAT WE CAN MAKE AN ADJUSTMENT TO THE ROLL FOR CLASS.
